Dr. Larry K. Glass- Lead Pastor
Pastor Larry K. Glass is a native of San Antonio Texas. He is married to Angela Y. Glass, they have a daughter, Manika L. Glass and a grandson Isaiah K. Grady .Dr. Glass served as a Deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church, serving six years as deacon before experiencing God’s call to the Gospel ministry in June 1995. He served as associate minister at Shiloh and was ordained in May 1999.
In October 1999 he began to serve as Pastor of Mission and Evangelism at Tried Stone Baptist Church. The Providential power of God moved the members of Providence Missionary Baptist Church to call Dr. Glass as their fourth pastor on October 14, 2001. Under the leadership of Dr. Glass many souls were added to the flock at Providence, mostly by baptism.
In January 2011, Dr. Glass began to serve as Director of Christian Education at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church. After much prayer and consideration the Holy Spirit moved the members of Zion Star Missionary Baptist Church to call Dr. Glass as their ninth pastor on November 25, 2012. Under the Leadership of Pastor Glass several ministries have been initiated and the church has grown both spiritually as well as numerically.
Dr. Glass is a former graduate of Highlands High School. He received an academic scholarship to St. Philips College before transferring to Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts and Science in May 1996. In December 2001 he earned a Master of Divinity degree with biblical languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft Worth, Texas. Dr. Glass graduated from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla, Georgia with a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Leadership in May 2013.
